Here is a selection of some of the wines served at Porto
Vina Carrasco, Sauvignon Blanc- Chile
Youthful, lively and fresh, with aromas of limestone, tropicana, citrus, capsicum and freshly mown hay.
Pasqua, Pino Grigio – Italy
A fresh fruity wine with a well balanced finish. A top quality crowd pleasing Pino.
Chablis Vocoret – France
From an acclaimed producer a good depth of mineral complexity overlaid by a lovely racy texture of lemons and grapefruits.
Cloudy Bay Te Koko – New Zealand
An iconic wine from New Zealand’s most iconic winery. A typical for Kiwi Sauvignon, the Te Koko is fermented using indigenous ‘wild’ yeasts, and subjected to batonnage as it ages in oak. Released as a three year old wine, this is unlike anything else from New Zealand! Lychees and almonds with classic gooseberry notes and a hint of wood smoke. A full bodied palate of citrus fruits with the richer flavours of caramel and nougat,a crisp yet spicy finish.
Capilla de Barro, Malbec – Argentina
An intense red-purple colour, with an equally intense nose of plum and bramble. Fulsome on the palate, delivering a swathe of ripe, fresh black fruit held together by lush tannins.
Bantry Bay, Pinotage – South Africa
An up front wine that is soft and rounded with ripe berry, currant flavours and notes of bramble fruit on the palate; a smooth mouth feel and well balanced slightly spicy finish round the wine off beautifully
Vina Carrasco, Merlot – Chile
On the nose rich notes of plums and blackberries are lifted by traces of chocolate and mocha. The palate is silky yet structured.
Amarone della Valpolicella – Italy
A classic Amarone from vineyards located in the heart of the Negrar hills. The fruity bouquet shows black cherries and prunes, as well as a hint of sweet spice.
